I’m so excited about launching my third mystery series, the Lickety Splits Ice Cream Shoppe Mystery Series.  My heroine, Kate McKay, has returned to her home town in the Hudson Valley, just north of New York City, fifteen years after graduating from high school.  While she came back to care for her grandmother, she also uses this new chapter of her life as an opportunity to live out a lifelong dream: opening her own ice cream shop.

And the Lickety Splits Ice Cream Shoppe doesn’t dish out just any old ice cream.  Kate constantly indulges her creative side by concocting fun flavors like Honey Lavender, Lemon Raspberry Swirl, Melty Chocolate Malt, and her favorite, Cappuccino Crunch.

She also serves ice cream fantasies like Hudson’s Hottest Hot Fudge Sundaes, Bananafana Splits, and Rootin’-Tootin’ Root Beer Floats. 

But when Kate becomes a suspect in the murder of her high school’s main Mean Girl, who runs the bakery right across the street, she decides to do some investigating of her own in order to clear her name.  With the help of her former high school boyfriend, Jake, as well as her clever eighteen-year-old niece Emma, Kate embarks on an adventure that turns out to be even more dangerous than binging on Chocolate Almond Fudge . . .

Some readers may already be familiar with my Reigning Cats & Dogs Mystery Series, which features Long Island veterinarian Jessica Popper and her entourage of dogs, cats, birds, and even her beloved chameleon.  My other series, Murder Packs a Suitcase, follows travel writer Mallory Marlowe on her research trips to popular tourist destinations.

I’m pleased to present this new mystery series.  I hope you’ll enjoy getting to know Kate—while indulging in every ice cream fantasy possible!!
